Scam Call Alert Posted or Updated on 15 Apr 2025

Greater Glasgow and Clyde Health Board have been made aware of a scam targeting patients registered with GP practices. It’s a nationwide scam involving generic phone calls to patients claiming to be from their practice and requesting them to update personal information. They are being threatened with removal from their practice list if they fail to comply.

Patients are advised to stay alert, not share personal information, verify the authenticity of the caller and report suspicious activity to Police Scotland on 101.
