Breast Screening Programme
Women between the ages of 50 and 70 (up to their 71st birthday) will get invites for breast screening (mammogram) once every three years. The timing of an appointment depends on the GP practice a woman is registered with and may mean that women might not receive their first invitation until they are nearly 53.
You will receive your appointment letter through the post inviting you to attend a mobile unit at Morrison’s car park, Barrack Street, Gallowgate.
If the appointment you receive is unsuitable, please call the centre to change it.
Women who are 71 and over can request an appointment by contacting the Breast Screening Centre on: 0141 800 8800 or Text phone 0141 800 8858
Breast screening takes just ten minutes every 3 years and could save your life.
